Star Furniture opened in 1907 in West Union, WV as a part funeral home and part furniture store. Deliveries were made by horse and buggy, and sometimes funerals would include a furniture delivery! The West Union Star Furniture store eventually closed in 2003, but four more locations were opened by 2017, and now Star Furniture is West Virginia’s largest locally owned furniture and mattress store!
